My role of an orchestrator is to assign specific passages of a score to instruments in order to produce the desired tonal colors for your project.

Depending on how much involvement you want or need for your composition, I generally only make changes to the original composition when requested by the composer. I may occasionally make suggestions if I think it will improve the project.

My services as an orchestrator/arranger can be used in many different ways.
	You want your original project arranged and/or orchestrated for live orchestra or concert band. You give me your song idea and tell me what you want each player basically to do and what it overall needs to sound like. You can receive a printed manuscript score of your composition complete with transpositions to take straight to the musicians
	You want a virtual realization of your composition either for publishing or mockup purposes. You can receive a CD or DVD(surround sound) with your project professionally mixed into a authentic sounding performance.
	By taking on the job of realizing the instrumentations for another composer, I can help your group to meet tight deadlines.
	Maybe you are a composer or songwriter whose expertise does not extend to orchestration. I can help your project achieve a new level of sophistication and style. I interpret the composer’s intentions and decide what is the best instrumentation for melodies, harmonies and the composition as a whole. Composer and Orchestrator generally work as equal partners together and share copyright ownership.

You can provide me with a written piano sketch of a melody line with some basic harmonies and/or rhythms. I can also work from audio recordings or tracks that you either own or have obtained rights to have sampled. Finally, I can work with MIDI tracks or tracks from your favorite sequencer in common digital audio formats.

Live recordings of musicians and ensembles can also be provided. For smaller budgets, high-quality samples can be substituted or blended with live musicians. My samples are so good you may not even need to hire an orchestra. My sample library is extensive and the best that the industry offers. It includes the critically acclaimed EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs, RA(ethnic), StormDrumz, Garritan Orchestras, and Acoustic Legends libraries as well as many other special effects and custom designed synthesized sounds.
